Mai Tai Resort is a private resort located 10 miles from Port Douglas, nestled in among a private 5 acre tropical rainforest retreat . With their mountain top view across the the Daintree Rainforest, across to Thornton's Peak and out to Newell Beach, Mai Tai Resort provides a wonderful escape from the bustle city life.

The Resort has been inspired by the tropical and magical architectural style of Bali and caters for a maximum of up to 8 guests at any time.

The property offers the privacy and seclusion of an adults only retreat, but is still within easy driving distance of Port Douglas, beautiful 4 Mile Beach, the Daintree Rainforest and access to the Great Barrier Reef.

Mai Tai Retreat - first class adults-only boutique style retreat - for the discerning traveller - perfect for small conferences, honeymooners, wedding parties, special functions, bird watchers or simply a relaxing intimate retreat were you can unwind in Tropical Paradise under the sun.

The Executive Suite is an appealing fully self-catered Villa set on 4 acres of tropical rainforest with own private plunge pool.

Mai Tai Resort is a completely private retreat where you can enjoy the comfort and freedom of a non clothing option around the pool area.

The Mai Tai Villa is position at the base of the Mai Tai Retreat and has been tastefully furnished to sleep up to 4 occupants in tropical luxury. The Villa has two Bedrooms and a stylishly appointed ensuite.

The Mai Tai Villa has indoor and out door entertaining areas with its own salt-water plunge pool. The Villa offers a secluded romantic get away for up to 4 - set in its own 4 acres of lush tropical rainforest.

The feeling of tranquillity and privacy is assured by electronically operated gates securing the villa into its own tropical get away.

Your hosts speak English, German, Spanish and Italian. On site management will take care of your every need and provide helpful local knowledge.

Location

Mai Tai Resort is only 10 minutes from Port Douglas.  From Cairns Airport to Port Douglas is approximately 45 minutes by car.

To arrive at Mai Tai Resort, drive north from Cairns along the Cook Highway, following the scenic route along the coast-line.

On your right, you will pass by Yorkey Point, Trinity Beach, Palm Cove, Ellis Beach and then Port Douglas.

Travelling along the Cook Highway, arriving into Port Douglas, drive past the sign post to Port Douglas township (on the right) and keep driving north. Keep on the Cook Highway for about 10 kilometres until you reach the signpost "Mt Molly"

Turn left at this exit and travel for approximately 2.8km until you arrive at the Mai Tai Resort entrance on the right hand side of the road, and follow the driveway up to the top of the hill.

We can arrange taxi, airport shuttle, private car hire or even private Helicopter from Cairns international or domestic airport , on your behalf.

Port Douglas

Once a quiet seaside village, today Port Douglas is an international mecca, which attracts Heads of States, film stars and a host of holiday makers from around the world.

Surrounded by famous Four Mile Beach and the Great Barrier Reef on one side, World Heritage Rainforest on the other, and just an hour away from Cairns, the drive north to Port Douglas is without question one of the most scenic in Australia.

Once in Port Douglas, you can enjoy the many fine restaurants and cafes and sophisticated shopping opportunities. Take in the Galleries and historic Queensland architecture or stroll along the beaches in the ocean breezes of the Coral Sea..

Activities available include diving, snorkelling, fishing, rainforest walks, white water rafting, parasailing, golf, shopping, markets, bird watching and crocodile adventures. The Rainforest Habitat (an award-winning wildlife sanctuary) is only minutes away. Enjoy the local attractions, or simply relax beside the crystal clear waters of the Coral Sea.

Rooms and Rates

Booking, Charge and Cancellation policy:

A 3 night minimum stay is required

• Full cost of stay will be charged at time of booking and will occur in 2 charges:
• 80% of the stay will appear as Mai Tai Resort on your credit card statement.
• 20% will appear as M-Power on your credit card statement.
• Cancellations made 30 or more days prior to booked arrival will received 50% refund
• Cancellations made within 30 days of booked arrival, shortening of stay or failure to show for the booking will receive no refund.
• By continuing with the booking, it is understood that you accept the booking policy.
• Prices remain valid till Dec 28th 2008.

• All prices quoted are low season prices unless otherwise indicated.
