Welcome to Turtle Cove Resort, Cairns, Australia. We invite you to visit our exclusive gay and lesbian resort located
on our all gay private beach between Cairns and Port Douglas, in Australia's fabulous Tropical North Queensland. With
the Coral Sea on one side and tropical rainforest on the other, it is the perfect location for an unforgettable Australian
vacation! Share your vacation with your partner, find a new special friend or simply experience the company of other gay
men and lesbians. We want to share Turtle Cove Resort with you.
The Resort
TURTLE COVE RESORT is one of the best known and most popular gay resorts in the world. Once you get here you will understand
why. Turtle Cove Resort is not just "gay friendly" - we are 100% gay and lesbian. We are not near the beach - we are right
on it. Our facilities are not just OK - they are second to none.
Turtle Cove Resort, between Cairns and Port Douglas, is set in the rainforest with the Coral Sea lapping at our front
door. Quite simply, we have one of the best locations in the world, gay or straight. We are privileged to be located between
two of the wonders of the world...the Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree Rainforests.
Both are World Heritage Sites and have to be seen to be believed. As such, we are very eco-friendly. We want to protect
the environment in which we reside.
To get to Turtle Cove Resort you don't need a map and compass. One of our buses can meet you at the Airport. The 30
minute drive takes you first through cane fields and then along the Coral Sea coastline, with spectacular views of offshore
islands, beaches and Cape Tribulation to the north. If you prefer, you can hire a car, or we can arrange a limousine,
or, if you want to be very decadent, a helicopter which lands you on our lawn.
Once you are here, you are in a totally private and secure, all gay environment. The rest of the world becomes only
a memory. Your unit features a queen and single bed, en suite bathroom, air conditioning, ceiling fans, television with
in-house video, radio, ISD/STD direct dial telephone with modem point, refrigerator, tea and coffee making facilities.
Your choice is a Beachfront room with nothing between you and the water but a few meters of lawn and beach, or an Ocean
Terrace room fabulously decorated or our two bedroom apartments.
The Beachfront Units are top of the range. They have a private terrace overlooking
the beach and they feature built-in hairdryers, cane furniture and timber finishes.
Our Ocean Terraces are set back in the Resort and elevated with excellent views,
particularly from upstairs, across to the Coral Sea. They are our newest rooms and have all the facilities of the Beachfront
units including a stunning decor developed by our interior designer, Uta Prentice.
We also have a small number of cabins and standard rooms, with similar rooms, at budget prices.
Our Apartment, with two bedrooms, sitting room, kitchen and balcony is ideal for
up to 5 people.
As well, most public tours pick up at the front door. You can go ballooning or white water rafting, take the train
or Skyrail to the Tablelands town of Kuranda with its markets and other tourist attractions, visit Cape Tribulation, see
aboriginal dance, go fishing, or a million and one other things in this unique part of the world. If you'd like to do
your own exploring Turtle Cove has hire cars available on the premises.
We'd love to share Turtle Cove Resort and Tropical North Queensland with you.
We look forward to welcoming you to Turtle Cove Resort and will do all we can to ensure a great tropical gay vacation
in this wonderful part of the world. Turtle Cove Resort is for gay men and lesbians, singles and couples. It will be the

Getting There

Where is Turtle Cove Resort?
Turtle Cove Resort, exclusively gay and lesbian, is located between Cairns and Port Douglas on Australia's northern
tropical coastline opposite the Great Barrier Reef.
Cairns International and Domestic Airport is 30 minutes from the resort, and has links to all major Australian cities,
North America, Asia, New Zealand and Europe. Cairns is also a part of the national railway network and has a major coach
terminal.
Driving Yourself ?
From Cairns and Cairns Airport follow the signs north towards Mossman and Port Douglas. You pass the northern beaches;
Machans, Holloways, Trinity, Kewarra, Palm Cove and Ellis. After around 30 minutes you come to Hartley's Creek Crocodile
Farm. From there we are 4.2 Kilometres further on the beach side of the road. Because we are in a national park we cannot
have signage on the road so you can miss us. If you get to Thala Beach or Port Douglas, turn around and come back!
There is a AU$35 fee per person for each one-way transfer between Cairns and Turtle Cove Resort including arrivals
and departures.
