About Us

Andrew & Bob
opened Boyz on the Beach
in April 2002.

Boyz On The Beach have both had extensive experience in Tourism and Hospitality and really enjoy the B&B lifestyle… so come and enjoy your stay at Cairns with a personal touch (not to be taken too literally!)

Boyz On The Beach will endeavour to provide you with all the local information you need to maximise your stay, and do our best to get you onto the best tours on the best days.

Boyz On The Beach have two dogs, Lady & Jed, who have both grown to be like their names. Jed is 13yrs and Lady is 5 yrs old.

Bob is a gay Dad who has lived in the Tropical North for many years, and so Boyz On The Beach welcome any other Dads, and are considering taking their children during school holidays … let us know what you think !

Transport

Cairns is serviced domestically by both Qantas and Virgin Blue with regular flights from all over Australia.

On arrival at Cairns Airport go to the Coral Coast Coaches desk , and take the first available coach to Kewarra Beach. They meet most flights and this Airport to door service is AU$13.50 p/p.

Boyz On The Beach offer airport transfers for AU$13.00 p/p, but provide this service for free for stays of 5 nights or longer.

The property is serviced by Sunbus every hour with services to Cairns City, Smithfield Shopping Centre, and all Northern beaches.

There are many Hire Car companies in Cairns ... not all based at the airport, but most will pick you up from your flight.

Boyz On The Beach can make a reservation for you - just advise what size car you wish and for how long.

Gay Tours

These exclusively gay tours are gay owned and operated.

Touring Cairns day tours are designed with you in mind, so you and your friends can feel secure and comfortable with other gays and lesbians, and still see and do all the things that Tropical North Queensland is famous for.

Your guide, Bob, has had many years experience in North Queensland and is putting together these day tours with your interests at heart. You will travel in a luxury Nissan Patrol 4WD with a maximum of 4 passengers on any tour.

Boyz on the Beach is an exclusively gay owned and operated B&B for men on the Northern Beaches of Cairns in Tropical North Queensland.

Boyz on the Beach is your ideal base for your vacation in Cairns ... situated just a short stroll from a beautiful coconut lined foreshore, Boyz On The Beach are only 15 mins north from Cairns Airport and city while there is easy access to the reef, the Daintree, Port Douglas, Skyrail, and the famed beach at Buchan Point.

Your hosts, Andrew & Bob, have had many years in the hospitality industry and have expert knowledge of the Tropical North.

Location

Boyz on the Beach is located at 1 Coogee Close, Kewarra Beach, just 15 mins north of Cairns Airport and 20 minutes from Cairns City.

Facilities

Boyz on the Beach has rooms in a detached air-conditioned pavilion with Queen size beds, ceiling fans, clock-radio, tea-coffee making facilities, fridge and your own porch. You will have the finest quality bed-linen and towels available. At this incredibly private and open home you will also enjoy a pool/billiard table( no charge here), swimming pool and spa, with free push-bikes and best of all, no visible neighbours.

You'll be just a short walk to Cairns best beaches and have easy access to a fine dining restaurant and numerous take-aways.

Breakfast is available from 6.00 am for all those of you who are heading out on Reef Trip or other tours.

Rooms and Rates

These tariffs are valid to 30th December 2008

Transport:

Boyz On The Beach offer airport transfers for AU$15p/p or A$23 double but provide this service for free for stays of 5 nights or longer.

Booking Charge and Cancellation Policy:
(Different conditions apply to the "Package")

• A non-refundable deposit equal to 10% of the full stay will be charged at the time of making the booking.
• This amount is A$ and will appear on you card statement as M-Power.
• The 90% Balance of the cost of the first 2 nights will be charged by the property at time of booking.
• This amount is also not refundable if the booking is cancelled or shortened after booking.
• The remaining balance of the accommodation costs will be paid directly to the hotel at check-in.
• Cancellations within 48 hours of the booked arrival date or if the booking is shortened or the guest fails to show as booked - will forfeit the cost of balance of the booked stay as a cancellation fee.
• No refund for stays that are shortened after arrival.
• By proceeding with the booking it is understood the the above conditions have been accepted.
